EETN Doctoral Dissertation Award 2026
The Board of Directors of the Hellenic Society for Artificial Intelligence (HSAI) invites nominations for the next annual Doctoral Dissertation Award in the field of Artificial Intelligence for the year 2026.
The award is accompanied by a cash prize of €1,000, and the official presentation of the distinctions and the presentation of the awardees’ doctoral research will take place at SETN 2026, in Chania.
Eligibility Requirements:
- The candidate dissertation must belong to the broader scientific field of Artificial Intelligence and must have been defended at a Greek University within 2025 (from 01/01/2025 to 31/12/2025).
- Both the supervisor and the doctoral graduate must be members of HSAI at the time of submission of the nomination.
The submission must be made by the supervisor and sent electronically by April 15, 2026, to the address info@eetn.gr.
The submitted file must contain:
- A cover letter including the details of the supervisor and the doctoral graduate, the date of the dissertation defense, and the names of the members of the seven-member committee.
- A letter from the supervisor explaining why this particular dissertation is being proposed for the award.
- The full text of the dissertation in PDF format.
- A list of publications (journal articles or conference papers) originating from the dissertation.
The selection of the doctoral dissertation that will receive the award will be made by a committee composed of honorary members of EETN. The selection will be based on the originality of the dissertation, the publications and presentations already made, its broader contribution to science, and its expected impact.
